FREF Funds: Peer Assisted Leadership
The role of a PAL student is to help mentor and support students at both Truman Benedict Elementary (TBES) and Bernice Ayer Middle Schools (BAMS). Directed by Dr. Mariah Mayer, BAMS’ PAL students offer academic, social and emotional support to 2nd and 5th graders as well as many volunteer service hours at TBES events.
PAL’s Little Buddies Program
PAL students help 2nd Graders at TBES with activities including writing/reading/math support, gratitude journals (emotional support), technology training, red & blue ribbon week activities and more!
